The soul
of Cornuto

A story of passion and hospitality

Osteria dal Cornuto was born from a clear idea: to bring authentic, generous, truly made Italian cuisine to the Navigli district, combining tradition, quality, and character.
Behind the project is Alessandro Basso, an architect by training and a passionate restaurateur, who shaped a contemporary osteria where food remains the true protagonist: freshly prepared dishes, selected ingredients, an open kitchen, and daily house-made preparations.

The structure of the former Pont de Ferr, a historic Milan landmark, has been preserved and respectfully reinterpreted: the open kitchen, the historic counter, and the functional spaces. Every element helps tell the story of a lively, genuine place designed to welcome people and make them feel good.

The Cornuto’s Pick

A recipe created by Osteria dal Cornuto to bring to the table a unique, bold, and unapologetic first course.
Our Rigatoni alla Zozzona are made with fresh house-made pasta using high-quality Senatore Cappelli flour, onion and tomato sauté, pork cheek, sausage, fresh yellow-yolk eggs, PDO Pecorino Romano, Parmigiano Reggiano, and black pepper.

The result is a rich, creamy, and intense dish where Roman tradition is reinterpreted with our own distinctive signature.

In our opinion, it even beats Carbonara. But to truly understand why, you have to taste it.

A kitchen where
Rome meets Milan

Fresh pasta, risottos, main courses, and regional specialties: a menu that brings Italy together through passion and quality ingredients

At Osteria dal Cornuto, the cuisine is born from the encounter between Roman tradition, Milanese culture, and great Italian classics.
Alongside Roman specialties, you’ll find risottos, fresh pasta, meat dishes, seasonal proposals, and recipes that bring together quality ingredients, technique, and different Italian culinary identities.
It is a cuisine with strong roots, yet one that continues to evolve naturally, with balance and attention to authentic flavors. Every day inside the osteria, fresh pasta, bread, focaccia, and many other preparations are made in-house for service.

The open kitchen, with a window directly overlooking Ripa di Porta Ticinese, turns daily preparation into part of the restaurant experience: hands, dough, flour, and technique become just as central as the dishes served at the table.

A concrete, artisanal approach that defines the identity of Osteria dal Cornuto’s cuisine.

An osteria made
to be experienced

A table filled with dishes to share and discover together

Osteria dal Cornuto was created to be experienced this way: without unnecessary formality, but with true attention to what arrives on the plate and to the people sitting at the table.
